LETTO DI SAN FRANCESCO
A metà Corridoio della Stimmate vi è una porta che immette in un ambiente naturale straordinario. Si presenta davanti a noi una grande spaccatura nella roccia e i massi sembrano legati tra loro dalle possenti radici di alcuni faggi che vegetano qui come per miracolo. A destra uno stretto cunicolo ci fa scendere in una piccola grotta nota come il Letto di San Francesco. Il santo usava riposare sopra il masso protetto dalla grata di ferro. In the middle of the Corridor of the Stimmate there is a door that leads into an extraordinary natural environment. A large crack in the rock appears in front of us and the boulders seem to be linked together by the mighty roots of some beech trees that grow here as if by a miracle. On the right a narrow tunnel takes us down to a small cave known as the Bed of San Francesco. The saint used to rest on the rock protected by the iron grate.
