DAI CONTI GUIDI A SAN FRANCESCO
The fastest way to reach the Castle of Romena for those who are in Casentino is to reach Pratovecchio. In this town, after crossing the Arno, we find a crossroads. The road on the left leads to the Pieve di Romena. Just before the Romanesque church, a detour takes us to the castle in about a kilometer, making us pass a few meters from Fonte Branda. The road on the right, after the bridge over the Arno, will allow us to reach the castle from above. For those arriving from Florence, on the Strada del Passo della Consuma, meet the locality of Scarpaccia. Here you have to turn left towards Stia and Pratovecchio.
