Stia is the first town of Casentino that the Arno river flows through and its source starts on the Mount Falterona above. The typical village started growing around its 12th century parish church. In addition to this Romanesque parish church you should see the elegant architecture of the whole town and the Wool Museum in the historic atmosphere of the historic woolen mill. Also the events that take place at Stia are beautiful. Among all the Wrought iron exhibition, an international fair that takes place every two years, in the first days of September in odd years. To know Stia in many of its aspects, visit this section.
