On top of a hill, in a natural and typically Tuscun environment, you will find the Romena Castle, not far from Stia and Pratovecchio and close to the parish church of the same name. This castle too was a Dantesque place and the illustrious poet remembers it speaking of the forger Maestro Adamo, in the 30th canto of hell, as follows:

"There is Romena, where I counterfeited
The currency imprinted with the Baptist,
For which I left my body burned above.

But if I here could see the tristful soul
Of Guido, or Alessandro, or their brother,
For Branda's fount I would not give the sight."
