Questa foto mostra tre epoche storiche molto lontane tra loro. In primo piano, in basso, vediamo il basamento dell'abside costituito da pietre grezze. Risale alla costruzione della chiesa del Mille. Sopra, invece, ci sono pietre ben lavorate. Fanno parte dell'abside dell'attuale chiesa edificata a metà del XII secolo. Sullo sfondo vediamo l'ara etrusca risalente, secondo gli studiosi, alla seconda metà del V secolo a.C.
This photo shows three historical periods very distant from each other. In the foreground, at the bottom, we see the base of the apse made of rough stones. It dates back to the construction of the church of the year 1000. Above, however, there are well-worked stones. They are part of the apse of the current church built in the mid-12th century. In the background we see the Etruscan altar dating back, according to scholars, to the second half of the 5th century BC.
