NATURA E STORIA PRESSO BADIA SANTA TRINITA 40
Dopo ottocento metri dal Passo alla Forca giungiamo a questo bivio dove il CAI 40 termina. Continuiamo la nostra escursione andando a sinistra, sul CAI 38, che è giunto quassù salendo da Carda. Si tratta di una pista forestale che da inizio anni '50 del Novecento ha sostituito la Strada del Val d'Arno che da Passo alla Forca scendeva a Carda, non idonea ai mezzi forestali motorizzati che il progresso stava portando.
After eight hundred meters from Passo alla Forca we reach this crossroads where CAI 40 ends. We continue our hike by going left, on CAI 38, which has come up here climbing from Carda. This is a forest track that since the early 1950s has replaced the Strada del Val d'Arno that from Passo alla Forca went down to Carda, not suitable for the motorized forestry vehicles that progress was bringing.
